Dr. Dickie and Sylvia, NP, are proud to provide these anti-aging treatments using one of the most trusted brands in the world to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and reverse common signs of aging.

BOTOX IS an FDA approved 10-minute treatment for adults to temporarily reduce moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines with minimal downtime. This is not a surgical treatment. You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours post treatment for moderate to severe frown lines. Please allow 30 minutes for your first treatment. Dr. Dickie will discuss your treatment goals and perform a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatment areas for you.


BOTOX WORKS by targeting the repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, smiling and raising the eyebrows over the years. Dr Dickie will inject these muscles with BOTOX® to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of the frown lines between your brows, your crow’s feet lines and /or your forehead lines.


SOME DISCOMFORT has been reported by patients that being injected with BOTOX® feels like a pinch. Dr. Dickie may use ice to numb the treatment area. If you are concerned about discomfort, Dr. Dickie can apply a topical numbing cream before administering your treatment.


RECOVERY TIME is minimal. You can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave. 


THE NUMBER OF INJECTIONS is customized to your goals and needs. Dr. Dickie will determine the appropriate treatment for any areas you wish to address, including moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines. 


SIDE EFFECTS in clinical studies were as follows: 3% of patients experienced eyelid drooping in the frown lines, 1% experienced eyelid swelling in the crow’s feet, and 1% experienced brow drooping in the forehead lines. Other possible side effects include: dry mouth; discomfort or pain at the injection site; tiredness; headache; neck pain; eye problems: double vision, blurred vision, decreased eyesight and dry eyes; and allergic reactions. You are not a candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. These are not all of the possible serious side effects of BOTOX®.

The products in the JUVÉDERM® collection of fillers adds volume to a different area of the face – without surgery. All JUVÉDERM® fillers are a smooth, crystal-clear gel that are administered by injection by Dr. Dickie. 

TREATMENT AREAS are injected with different formulations which are approved to either lift cheeks, smooth parentheses lines, smooth vertical lip lines or plump the lips. The results are subtle and long lasting.

COLLECTIONS OF FILLERS:

JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™XC softens moderate to severe parentheses lines and wrinkles by adding subtle volume around the nose and mouth in adults 21+.

JUVÉDERM VOLUMA®XC adds volume to the cheek area to correct age-related volume loss in adults 21+.

JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC adds fullness and plumps lips as well as soothes and corrects moderate to severe parentheses lines in adults 21+. 

TREATMENT TIME - Please allow 30-60 minutes for your first treatment. Dr. Dickie will discuss your treatment goals and perform a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatment areas for you.

SOME DISCOMFORT has been reported by patients that being injected with JUVÉDERM® feels like a pinch. Ask Dr. Dickie about a topical numbing cream or ice to help further minimize discomfort. JUVÉDERM® injectable gels labeled with “XC” contain pain-reducing lidocaine to help manage pain or discomfort during the injection. 

HYALURONIC ACID, HA, is a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps the skin retain moisture & softness, and adds volume. The JUVÉDERM® collection of fillers is made from hyaluronic acid (HA). Each product in the JUVÉDERM® collection of fillers is made from a modified form of HA.

RESULTS will be seen immediately after the injection. Results may last 1 -2 years, with optimal correction and depending on the formula used. 

DO NOT receive JUVÉDERM® injectable gel fillers if you have a history of severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), or if you are allergic to lidocaine or the proteins (Gram-positive bacterial proteins) used to make hyaluronic acid (HA) in JUVÉDERM® injectable gel fillers. You are not a candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Pre-Treatment Instructions ~

~ Schedule your Botox or JUVÉDERM appointment with Dr. Dickie at least 2 weeks prior to a special event. Results from Botox and / or JUVÉDERM may take approximately 4 to 7 days to appear. Also bruising and swelling may be apparent in that time period. 

~ Reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours if you have a rash, cold sore or blemish on the area. If you have a history of cold sores, please let Dr. Dickie know, she may put you on an anti-viral medication prior to treatment.

~ DO NOT consume alcohol 24 hours or less prior to your treatment. Alcohol can thin the blood & increase the risk of bruising. 

~ Discontinue using Tretinoin, Retin-A, & Retinoids 3 days before & 3 days after your treatment.

~ Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, if possible for a period of 2 weeks before your treatment. Medications & supplements such as aspirin, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve & other NSAIDS have a blood thinning effect & can increase the risk of bruising & swelling after injections.

~ To decrease the chances of lightheadedness during your treatment, have a good breakfast before your procedure. 

Post-Treatment ~ BOTOX

~ DO NOT lie down for 4 hours after your Botox treatment. This will prevent the Botox from tracking into the orbit of your eye & may cause a drooping eyelid.

~ DO NOT manipulate the treated area for 24 hours following treatment. This includes receiving facials or laser treatments after Botox for at least 10 days. 

~ DO NOT perform activities involving vigorous exercise, straining, or heavy lifting for 6 hours after treatment. This will keep the Botox in the injected area & not elsewhere.

~ It may take 4-7 days for results to be seen. If the desired result is not seen after 2 weeks, you may need additional Botox. You are charged for the amount of product used. Therefore, you will be charged for a product used during any touch-up or subsequent appointments.

Post-Treatment ~ JUVÉDERM

~ Avoid significant movement, strenuous exercise, or massage of the treated area for 24 hours. 

~ Avoid extensive sun or heat for 72 hours.

~ Avoid consuming excess amounts of alcohol or salts to avoid excess swelling.

~ Take Arnica to help the bruising and swelling, start at least 2 days prior to injections.

~ If you have swelling you may apply a cool compress for 15 minutes each hour.

~ Use Tylenol for discomfort.

~ Try to sleep face up & slightly elevated if you experience swelling.
